JOB TITLE: Installation Technician
SUMMARY:
GeoLinks Installation Technicians are essential team members responsible for multiple customer site visits daily. These visits encompass site surveys, service installations, service repairs, quality assurance, and educating customers on the services we provide. Installation Technicians report to their assigned depot location daily, typically working from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with the possibility of overtime or double-time hours as assigned by a Supervisor when needed. Rotating weekend or on-call work may be assigned based on regional needs.

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an Installation Technician encounters while performing the essential functions of this position. Installation Technicians will travel to and from work sites utilizing company assigned vehicles. While performing the duties of this position,, the Installation Technician will regularly work in outside weather conditions and sunlight. Installation Technicians frequently work in commercial and residential locations. Installation Technicians may be exposed to wet, humid, dusty, and/or damp conditions, as well as vibration. The Installation Technician occasionally works at high elevations with the use of a ladder, and in enclosed, confined areas while completing cabling installation. While wearing appropriate safety gear, the Installation Technicians are occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, and risk of electrical shock. The Installation Technician must be able to walk over different types of terrain and in a variety of weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is moderate in the office setting and variable in the field. When required and under extreme weather conditions, alternative types of transportation may be necessary (i.e. boat, ferries, off road vehicles, or snow mobiles) to reach job sites.
