The Opportunity:

Contractor Nation (formerly Basement Systems Inc.) manufactures and distributes the products we use in our business to the greatest network of home repair contractors across North America and beyond (B-2-B, Business to Business). Contractor Nation Partnerships is a basement waterproofing, foundation repair, concrete leveling industry, and we have dealers across the country that we own! On the B-2-C (Business to Customer) side of the business we are poised for accelerated growth. We are building our company and looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist for our team.

Primary job duties & Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate must have experience in full cycle accounts payable processing. Including but not limited to invoice processing and coding, getting proper approvals for payment, weekly check runs, preparation of monthly/ad hoc statements and monitoring of AP Aging.

• Evaluate and process invoices, check requests, credit card charges and accompanying documentation for accuracy and proper authorization/approval
• Handle manual check requests
• Respond to all vendor inquiries
• Reconcile open payables
• Update and maintain vendor database
• Reconcile vendor statements including research, and correction of discrepancies
• Maintain and issue vendor 1099’s
• Maintain COI for any subcontractors

What You Have:

• AAS/BS degree preferred (or equivalent work experience)
• 3 years of experience in accounts payable and general accounting
• Intermediate MS Excel skills a plus, including v-lookups and pivot tables
• Thorough understanding of applicable accounts payable procedures and general ledger chart of accounts
• QuickBooks experience a plus
• Knowledge of Sales and Use Tax
• Strong accuracy and attention to detail
• Work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team

Salary: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour

In-Office: 40 hours/week, M-F (flexibility when needed)
