What You Will Contribute: We are looking for a first shift Assembler in our Racine Plant. This person will work in a safe, clean, air-conditioned facility. We are willing to train for the right person! The Assembler – Level 1 is responsible for assembling parts according to specified Work Instructions and/or Drawings and exhibits the ability to effectively complete critical component assemblies. This position may be required to rotate throughout the facility in a variety of assembly tasks. Below are the additional duties and responsibilities: Participate and Contribute to Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost continuous improvement efforts. Use Production system to record day-to-day customer order activity, view work instructions and report completed work. Use basic printing programs to complete customer orders when required for a specific job and make adjustments when needed on his/her own. Take initiative to ensure priority items are completed and when needed seek out additional information from lead or Supervisor. May be responsible for basic training of others in department. Use basic Hand, battery, electric and pneumatic powered tools to complete assemblies. Navigate through basic LX screens to identify Inventory requirements and status as needed and utilize system as required to make adjustments. Perform basic 5S and Lean concepts to ensure a clean, safe, and efficient workplace Qualifications: High School diploma or GED preferred Open to any background (fast food, customer service, etc.) Basic computer skills Employment longevity Strong attention to detail Able to work effectively in a team environment Enthusiasm and ability to work well in fast paced environment Good attendance required Working Conditions: Depending on the assigned department, must be able to demonstrate the ability to lift up to 60 pounds and complete an audiogram test Those working in the Aerospace department must be able to pass a Vision, Color Vision, and Depth perception test Competitive Total Rewards at Badger Meter: Competitive Pay Annual Bonus Eligible for Annual Pay Increases Comprehensive Health, Vision, and Dental Coverage 15 days Paid Time Off 11 Paid Holidays Two Ways to Save for Retirement: Badger Meter contributes 25 cents for every dollar you contribute to the plan, up to 7% of your eligible compensation.
