The Director of Human Resources will have outstanding people skills to manage our personnel and ensure that our Human Resources programs and initiatives are effective, efficient and aligned to overall business objectives. The Director of HR will supervise HR personnel, deal with employee grievances and disputes, support employee development, enhance job satisfaction, design onboarding procedures, implement HR strategies that support business objectives, forecast staffing needs, structure benefit packages, maintain employee records, design accountability mechanisms and overseeing overall employment needs.
The ideal candidate for this role should possess a high work ethic, excellent communication skills, knowledge of labor regulations and HR practices, strategic thinking abilities, strong organizational skills and excellent
Essential Functions & ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement Human Resources policies and procedures
Create a compelling mission and vision statement that aligns HR Strategy with the Strategic Objectives of the organization
Oversee the administration of Human Resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
Talent Acquisition of Management, District and Executive level line Units.
Conducting Compliance Audits and Training in association with Laws and Regulations
Manage Staff Well-being and conduct Performance Appraisal reviews for General Manager & Senior Leadership
Maintain and conduct audits on Staffing records
Ensure proper Employee Benefit Administration and Efficient and Effective Annual Benefit Open enrollment
Develop Job Descriptions for all positions created along with updated and revising current Job Descriptions within the company.
Implement and Evaluate Training Programs
Ensure the department conduct Stay Interviews, Employee Surveys and Exit Interviews
Ensure positive and supportive culture through Employee Retention Initiatives

Effective Communication: Demonstrate effective Communication such as creating and delivering information, listening to and addressing concerns of employees, and effectively communication information between Organizational Departments.
Business Acumen: Understand the operations, functions and external environments and have the ability to apply business tools and analysis to align HR initiatives and Operations with the strategic direction of the company.
Consultation Expert: possess the skills to identify business challenges, manage change and offer HR solutions for the business.
Analytical Aptitude: Possess the Analytical Aptitude to gather and analyze data to help make business recommendations and decisions.
QualificationsA Bachelor’s degree in related field or 5 Years’ Experience in related field
Minimum of three (3) years’ experience working with senior management
Minimum of three (3) years’ experience working in Human Resources, Fitness Industry or Health and Wellness Human Resources Preferred
PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification
PC literate, including Microsoft Office and various other products
Must have a valid CPR/AED certification, including infant and child, within the first 45 days of employment and maintain valid certification throughout employment
Excellent communication skills; strong people skills
Physical Requirements
Must be able to sit for extended periods
Must be able to lift and carry approximately 25 pounds
Must be able to perform the following tasks: walk, squat, bend, stoop, stand, listen, read and write
