Position Overview
The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in supporting the organization’s accounting operations and financial reporting processes. This individual will work closely with leadership while helping maintain accurate financial records, supporting month-end close activities, and assisting with the development of scalable accounting processes across multiple business entities.
The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting knowledge, experience operating in a fast-moving environment, and the ability to mentor junior accounting staff while remaining hands-on in daily accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes across multiple business units
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and supporting schedules
- Maintain accurate cash-basis accounting records and financial reporting
- Assist with sales tax compliance and filings
- Prepare audit workpapers and collaborate with external auditors
- Support intercompany accounting and consolidation activities
- Analyze financial data and assist leadership with reporting needs
- Help improve accounting processes and internal controls as the organization scales
- Mentor and support junior accounting team members
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operational and executive leadership teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
- 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong understanding of technical accounting principles
- Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to mentor and support team members
- Healthcare, pharmacy, multi-entity, or high-growth company experience is a plus
