This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in Human Resources while gaining hands-on exposure to operations, leadership partnership, employee relations, recruiting, and workforce strategy.

This is not a traditional behind-the-scenes HR role. The individual in this position will work closely with operational leaders and employees throughout the facility, serving as a trusted resource and key business partner across day-to-day operations. The environment is fast paced, highly collaborative, and ideal for someone who enjoys problem solving, relationship building, and being actively involved in the business.

The team is looking for someone who is confident, adaptable, professional, and motivated to continue growing within Human Resources over time.

Key Responsibilities

Employee & Labor Relations

  • Serve as a primary HR contact for employees, supervisors, and operational leadership
  • Support employee relations matters including workplace concerns, policy interpretation, attendance management, coaching conversations, and performance discussions
  • Assist with investigations, disciplinary processes, grievances, and conflict resolution
  • Partner closely with leadership to ensure consistent and compliant HR practices
  • Build strong working relationships across all levels of the organization while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality

Leave Administration & Workers’ Compensation

  • Manage FMLA, ADA, and leave of absence processes
  • Coordinate workers’ compensation administration and return-to-work processes
  • Partner with third-party vendors to ensure accurate documentation and compliance
  • Communicate directly with employees and supervisors regarding accommodations, restrictions, and leave updates
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation

Recruiting & Onboarding

  • Lead full-cycle recruitment efforts for hourly manufacturing positions
  • Conduct phone screens and coordinate interviews with hiring managers
  • Facilitate onboarding and new hire orientation processes
  • Partner with leadership to improve recruiting strategies and hiring processes
  • Support a positive candidate and new hire experience

Employee Engagement & HR Operations

  • Coordinate employee engagement initiatives and facility events
  • Conduct exit interviews and support employee offboarding
  • Process employee status changes including transfers, new hires, and terminations
  • Assist with HR reporting, administrative tasks, and additional projects as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred
  • Open to strong recent graduates with internship or relevant HR experience
  • Approximately 2–5 years of HR experience preferred, ideally within manufacturing, operations, employee relations, or labor-focused environments
  • Understanding of federal and state employment laws and HR best practices
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to navigate difficult conversations professionally and confidently
  • Comfortable working directly within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and HR systems preferred

Why This Opportunity Stands Out

  • Highly visible HR role with direct interaction with operational leadership
  • Strong opportunity for long-term career growth and advancement
  • Exposure to a wide variety of HR functions including employee relations, labor relations, recruiting, onboarding, and leave administration
  • Collaborative team environment with strong internal support
  • Stable and growing organization with a strong reputation in manufacturing
  • Opportunity to make a meaningful impact on employees and operations

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation based on experience
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) with company contribution and profit sharing opportunities
  • Paid parental leave
  • Tuition assistance and professional development support
  • Wellness-focused employee programs and resources
  • Long-term stability and career advancement opportunities

This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who wants to grow within a dynamic environment while gaining meaningful experience in employee relations, operational partnership, and workforce support.
