Position Overview
The Property Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of an affordable housing community, including leasing, compliance, resident relations, and financial performance. This individual will play a key role in ensuring the property runs efficiently, remains compliant, and continues to grow and succeed.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all daily property operations including leasing, maintenance coordination, and resident relations
- Ensure compliance with LIHTC and Section 42 affordable housing regulations
- Manage rent collection, budgeting, and financial reporting
- Maintain accurate tenant files, certifications, and recertifications
- Respond to resident concerns and foster a positive community environment
- Supervise and collaborate with on-site staff and vendors
- Drive occupancy goals and support leasing efforts as needed
Qualifications
- Previous property management experience preferred
- Experience with affordable housing, LIHTC, or Section 42 strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of compliance, leasing, and resident relations
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
- Proficiency with property management software is a plus
