- Installing, modifying, fabricating and repairing new and existing shipboard refrigeration system components.
- Working from blueprints and sketches to plan and layout the routing and placement of systems and components.
- Performing maintenance, testing and troubleshooting of refrigeration equipment.
- Leading others by performing such tasks as passing on instructions from supervisors; getting work started; setting the pace; demonstrating proper work methods; seeing that plans, materials, and tools are available, answering questions of workers on procedures, policies, instructions, or other directives; checking work in progress; assuring that safety and housekeeping rules are followed.
- Reporting to supervisors on status of work and/or answering questions of supervisors on overall work operations and problems.
