Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Heating Air Conditioning Technician. The technician will perform installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, ensuring safe, efficient, and code-compliant operation. Day-to-day responsibilities include diagnosing system issues, conducting preventive maintenance, performing minor plumbing and electrical tasks related to HVAC equipment, and documenting all work performed. The role also involves responding to customer service requests, advising on system performance and upgrades, and collaborating with dispatch and other team members to prioritize and complete jobs. Technicians are expected to follow safety protocols, maintain tools and equipment, and represent M2 Service Group professionally in all interactions.
Qualifications
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills to identify and resolve HVAC system issues efficiently.
- Knowledge of plumbing principles related to HVAC systems, including condensate lines, piping, and drainage.
- Experience with preventive maintenance practices for heating and air conditioning equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Understanding of electricity and basic electrical systems as they apply to HVAC units, including wiring, controls, and safety standards.
- EPA certification (or eligibility to obtain) for handling refrigerants in compliance with environmental regulations.
- Relevant technical training or certification in HVAC; trade school or apprenticeship experience is beneficial.
- Ability to work independently in a remote field environment, manage time effectively, and use digital tools for work orders and documentation.
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and willingness to travel to customer sites as required.
