- Conducting annual condition and preventative maintenance inspections on all fixed weight lifting equipment, to ensure capability and reliability.
- Planning and coordinating complex weight handling inspection operations in support of ship repair projects.
- Applying broad knowledge of weight handling equipment (WHE) maintenance, testing, inspection methods and record keeping procedures used in supporting weight handling equipment repair and certification.
- Identifying deficiencies on WHE and determining if engineering evolutions are required.
- Accounting for the Branch's qualification training, work schedule execution, and budget.
