You will serve as a PRODUCTION SHOP PLANNER in the MECHANICAL SHOP, PRODUCTION RESOURCES DEPARTMENT of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD.

- Preparing material procurement that involves researching part numbers to obtain acceptable stock numbers and tracking availability of stock.
- Ensuring quality control standards are satisfactorily documented and issuing Shop Store chits if located locally.
- Ability to procure materials/equipment from the Supply Department or Ship Stores, processes related software, and route to requesting location.
- Ability to identify, track, deliver, and assemble all materials needed to perform the tasks within a Technical Work Document (TWD).
- Reading and Interpreting Task Group Instructions (TGIs), Technical Work Documents (TWDs) Drawings, Work and Test Manual (WTM), Technical Specifications, Technical Manuals, Material Management Manual, Corporate/Nuclear Power Manuals, Work Packaging and Control Process Guide and other required shipyard standards.
