You will serve as a PRODUCTION SHOP ASSISTANT in the MECHANICAL SHOP OF THE PRODUCTION RESOURCES DEPARTMENT of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD.

Qualifications:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:- Experience assisting with inspecting ship work to ensure work is planned and performed safely, efficiently and in accordance with prescribed procedures.
- Experience monitoring project cost performance and conducting quality assurance trend analysis of all non-nuclear shop processes to reduce cost and radiation exposure.
- Experience investigating shop practices by identifying deficiencies and taking appropriate action.
- Experience assisting with developing plans, policies and procedures related to nuclear submarine overhaul and repair.
- Experience in management principles and theories to manage or supervise administrative work.
