Accounts Payable Specialist

San Rafael, CA | Hybrid (2 Days Onsite, 3 Days WFH) | Contract

I'm partnering with a leading biotechnology organization seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team in San Rafael, CA.

This is a great opportunity for an AP professional with experience supporting large organizations and managing high-volume invoice environments. The ideal candidate will have strong reconciliation skills, experience resolving invoice/supplier issues, and 1 year of SAP Ariba experience.

You MUST have SAP Ariba experience and prior Accounts Payable experience to be considered.

Responsibilities

• Manage account reconciliations and resolve AP discrepancies.

• Review and process complex AP transactions while following company policies.

• Investigate invoice and supplier issues, determine root causes, and coordinate resolutions.

• Support month-end close activities, including account clearing and variance analysis.

• Identify AP trends and recommend process improvements

• Assist with AP workflow improvements and special projects.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of Accounts Payable experience.

• 1 year of SAP Ariba experience required.

• Strong understanding of accounting concepts and AP processes.

• Experience with reconciliations and issue resolution.

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

• High School Diploma required.

Preferred

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• Experience working in high-volume environments (5,000 invoices per month).

• Experience with Oracle and/or SAP.

Location: San Rafael, CA

Schedule: Hybrid – 2 days onsite, 3 days remote

Duration: Contract 12 months
