Job Summary:
The Surgical Laboratory Technician assists with daily lab operations and ensures the lab is fully prepared for training sessions and research activities. This role involves maintaining equipment, supporting lab processes, and handling materials safely. Occasional weekend work may be required.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and prepare laboratory spaces for training sessions and experiments.
- Maintain, clean, and calibrate lab equipment and instruments.
- Support general lab operations, including inventory management and supply ordering.
- Assist with sample handling and preparation following standard lab protocols.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Collaborate with team members and instructors to ensure efficient lab readiness.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in a related field (e.g., Biology, Laboratory Science, or Surgical Technology).
- Knowledge of surgical techniques and standard lab processes.
- Experience with laboratory equipment setup and maintenance.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks safely.
