Project Assistant
Temporary – 6 Months
LHH is seeking a Project Assistant for a mission-driven nonprofit organization based in Washington, DC. This temporary role will support an ongoing seasonal program and provide day-to-day assistance to members and internal teams. It’s a strong opportunity for an early-career professional looking to build experience in a collaborative, purpose-focused environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Serve as a point of contact for member inquiries, providing timely and professional support
- Identify underlying issues and escalate more complex matters to the appropriate experts.
- Assist with coordinating projects, timelines, and internal communications
- Maintain and update member data in Salesforce and internal systems
- Support outreach efforts, including email communications and follow-ups
- Help organize meetings, events, and program logistics
- Provide general administrative support across the team
What you’ll bring:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Internship or other experience in customer support, administrative, or a similar operations‑focused role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Salesforce or CRM experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and follow‑through in a fast‑paced environment.
- A customer-service mindset with a professional, responsive approach
- Ability and willingness to work nonstandard business hours (e.g., early mornings, evening and weekends to support events or member needs)
Additional Details:
- Primarily remote opportunity
- Temporary role expected to last 6 months, with potential for extension
