About the Role
As the Estimator, you will become an integral part of the Pre-Construction team, reporting directly to the VP of Pre-Construction at the Elkridge, MD location. In this full-time position, you’ll collaborate closely with the dynamic Sales team, architects, general contractors, and designers, helping to transform interior spaces with exceptional systems.
What You’ll Do
- Gather and analyze project information from architectural drawings and client specifications
- Estimate material costs, generate detailed quotes, and assist with sourcing installation pricing utilizing proprietary software tools (full training provided)
- Collect project intelligence to help secure new opportunities
- Coordinate every aspect of project sales with clients, project managers, production teams, and more
- Maintain project schedules and consistently meet tight deadlines
Who You Are
- You thrive in fast-paced environments and are able to juggle multiple projects with precision
- You bring at least 3 years of experience in construction and/or manufacturing settings (experience with glazing, drywall, general contracting, or demountable partitions is a plus)
- You hold a bachelor’s degree, ideally in a construction-related discipline
- You are fluent in reading and interpreting interior non-structural architectural plans, including partition plans, door and hardware schedules
- You are proficient in working with large Excel spreadsheets; knowledge of VB/macros is a bonus
- You communicate clearly and professionally with both internal and external stakeholders, both in writing and verbally
- You solve problems efficiently and remain composed under pressure
- You are self-motivated, organized, and committed to producing top-quality results on every deadline
