A growing organization headquartered in the Baltimore area is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its collaborative and expanding finance team. This onsite opportunity is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys a blend of operational accounting responsibilities, process improvement initiatives, and cross-functional exposure within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules for the month-end close process
- Analyze financial statements and investigate variances across operational accounts
- Maintain accuracy of the general ledger and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures
- Assist with preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages
- Support operational accounting activities including accruals, fixed assets, prepaid expenses, and intercompany transactions
- Collaborate with internal departments to improve financial processes and reporting efficiency
- Assist with audit support and provide documentation for external auditors
- Participate in process improvement initiatives and special projects as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
- 3 years of accounting experience required, public accounting experience preferred
- CPA candidate or CPA
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and month-end close processes
- Experience within a fast-paced or growing organization preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting systems
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative environment
