The Semester of Service Program gives students a volunteer, project-based opportunity to support real Federal missions, gaining hands-on experience and career-ready skills. Students must be enrolled at least half-time in an accredited institution with permission to participate. In this project, you'll support a data visualization project.
The Office of Human Resources, Training and Development Division, aims to convert human resources training data into clear and easy-to-understand visualizations. The project includes designing and developing interactive dashboards, reports, and data visualizations; transforming data into visually appealing and actionable insights that support strategic decision-making; identifying trends, patterns, and key metrics; supporting the automation of data workflows and reporting processes; and documenting data sources and workflows.
In order to be eligible for this opportunity you must be able to obtain academic credit from your institution OR a third-party stipend of at least $15.00 per hour or higher if the locality you are selected for has a higher minimum wage than $15.00.
Qualifications:
Applicants will be considered based on their knowledge, skills or abilities related to project needs. Specifically, applicants should demonstrate:- Knowledge, experience and/or interest in data and data visualization;
- Familiarity and some experience in Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization tools
- Interest in data lifecycles from collection to analysis to visualization
Responsibilities:
