Desktop Support Technician
Location: Dallas / Plano, TX (Onsite)
Employment Type: Full-Time (Direct Hire)
Compensation: $85,000–$95,000
About the Role
LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a confidential, growth-oriented technology company in the network visibility and cybersecurity space to hire a hands-on Desktop Support Technician in the Plano/Dallas area. This onsite role supports internal employees with day-to-day technology needs across Windows and macOS, including device provisioning, troubleshooting, and conference room readiness. You will work closely with IT and security partners to keep end-user systems secure, reliable, and ready for a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide Tier 1–2 end-user support for onsite users in Windows 10/11 and macOS environments
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and peripherals (laptops/desktops, monitors, printers, mobile devices)
• Complete new-hire onboarding and offboarding, including device setup, access provisioning, and asset recovery
• Support Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Teams) and basic Active Directory requests (password resets, unlocks, group access)
• Manage endpoint imaging, patching, and deployments; assist with standard configurations and updates
• Maintain accurate ticket notes, documentation, and asset inventory records
• Support conference rooms/meeting technology and coordinate AV or meeting support as needed
• Partner with network, security, and systems teams on escalations and light project work
• Follow IT security and compliance policies in a cybersecurity-focused environment
Qualifications Required
• 2 years of experience in desktop support, IT support, or help desk roles
• Strong troubleshooting skills in Windows and macOS environments
• Experience supporting Microsoft 365 and common enterprise IT tools
• Working knowledge of Active Directory and endpoint management tools
• Excellent communication and customer-service skills
• Ability to work onsite and provide high-touch support to both technical and non-technical users
Preferred
• Experience in technology, networking, or cybersecurity-driven organizations
• Familiarity with ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Jira, Zendesk, etc.)
• Exposure to hardware lifecycle management and inventory tracking
• Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, VPNs, Wi‑Fi)
