Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
- Monitor and report changes in clients’ health status to appropriate healthcare professionals
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring safety and compliance
- Support clients with nutritional needs, including meal preparation and feeding assistance
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and any incidents or concerns
- Collaborate with healthcare teams for coordinated care planning and delivery
- Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control procedures during visits
Skills
- Experience working in Level I Trauma Centers, PICU, or emergency medicine settings is preferred
- Background in hospital medicine, medical-surgical units, or outpatient clinics enhances suitability for this role
- Knowledge of geriatrics, post-acute care, sub-acute care, or teaching hospital environments is advantageous
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect empathetically with clients of all ages
- Ability to follow detailed care plans and adapt to changing needs effectively
- Certification in CPR or first aid is a plus but not mandatory
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license are preferred for home visits
