Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in various care settings, including home, assisted living, nursing homes, and group homes. Duties
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor and observe patient conditions, including vital signs and overall health status
- Administer medications following prescribed care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements and assist with feeding when necessary
- Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning and sanitation practices
- Utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other mobility aids to ensure safe transfers and prevent injury
- Follow care plans meticulously to ensure personalized care delivery
- Document patient observations and report any changes or concerns promptly to healthcare professionals
- Support patients during medical procedures or appointments, ensuring comfort and safety during transfers or treatments
Qualifications
- Prior experience in home health, assisted living, nursing home, hospice care, or working with individuals with disabilities is preferred
- Certifications such as First Aid and CPR are highly desirable; willingness to obtain these certifications if not already held
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations including seniors, individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, autism spectrum disorder, or developmental disabilities
- Strong observational skills for monitoring patient health and safety
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with mobility using equipment like Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and family members
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to improve residents’ quality of life
