What you will be doing
The Director of Nursing oversees daily nursing operations, supervises and mentors licensed nursing and direct care staff, and ensures the delivery of safe, effective, and compassionate resident-centered care. Responsibilities include quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives, staff education and development, policy implementation, incident review, and coordination of individualized care plans. This position partners closely with the Administrator, physicians, consultants, residents, and families to promote positive outcomes and an engaged care environment.
Additional duties include staffing oversight, scheduling, budgeting participation, regulatory readiness, and maintaining a safe and compliant workplace. The Director of Nursing requires strong clinical expertise, leadership skills, and 24/7 on-call availability to support operational continuity and emergency response when needed.

- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Michigan
- Experience in long-term care and knowledge of state and federal regulations
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing preferred
- Strong clinical, organizational, and leadership skills
