Responsibilities
- Assist classroom teachers in implementing lesson plans and instructional activities.
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who require additional assistance.
- Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Monitor and document student progress, behavior, and participation during activities.
- Assist with classroom management and support students in following school rules and expectations.
- Prepare instructional materials and resources as directed by the teacher.
- Support students during transitions between activities and throughout the school day.
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the classroom teacher or school administration.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in education or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed.
- Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with educational technology.
- Must pass background checks and comply with all school district policies and regulations.
- Availability to work part-time hours as scheduled, typically during school hours.
Salary : $15 - $22
