What are the responsibilities and job description for the Admissions Manager, 2 Hour Learning - $200,000/year USD position at Crossover?
Some parents settle for schools that keep kids "a little unhappy." Others relocate for something better. This position is designed for the latter group.
2 Hour Learning condenses a complete academic day into two hours through AI-powered mastery platforms, leaving the remainder of the day for high-impact life skills. No traditional teachers, no busywork, no pretending that a 6-hour worksheet marathon constitutes meaningful education. Students here advance at 2.6x the national learning rate. That's not a marketing claim — it's MAP data.
You'll be the person who guides parents to understand the distinction. Not through brochures or abstract philosophies, but through concrete outcomes, individualized attention, and efficient, responsive admissions processes that convert interest into enrollment. This isn't a position for someone who simply wants to make families feel comfortable. It's for someone who understands how to sell a superior product — and identify families who are the right match to leverage it effectively.
You'll have ownership of admissions for one campus — Scottsdale or San Francisco — with full authority over your pipeline, tours, events, and data. There's no team to supervise and no handoffs to compensate for gaps in coverage. Just you, accountable for the entire experience. If that feels overwhelming, this isn't your role. If it sounds exciting, continue reading.
What You Will Be Doing

What You Will Be Doing
- Replying to inquiries from prospective families within 4 hours — always personalized, never templated.
- Conducting school tours and events that demonstrate our model concretely: how we deliver 2x faster learning, why the approach succeeds, and which families benefit most.
- Overseeing the admissions pipeline: applications, shadow days, decision conversations, and onboarding processes.
- Maintaining HubSpot and SIS data with accuracy, timeliness, and readiness for weekly analysis and reporting.
- Revising FAQs, SOPs, and admissions materials informed by ongoing insights — and piloting new approaches to boost conversion.
- Supervising a team — you are both the process owner and the hands-on executor.
- Accommodating bureaucracy — this operates at startup velocity, not school board tempo.
- Viewing all applicants identically — your role is to select strategically, not merely to fill capacity.
- Defending the model apologetically — some will reject it. You'll excel with those who understand it.
- Operating remotely — this is an on-campus position with occasional local event attendance.
