A rapidly growing investment platform is looking to add an Equity Research Senior Associate / VP focused on the semiconductor sector to its investment team.
This individual will work closely with senior investors and play a key role in developing differentiated views across the semiconductor landscape, including semis, equipment, supply chain, and adjacent infrastructure themes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct deep fundamental research on public semiconductor companies and broader industry trends
- Build and maintain detailed financial and operating models
- Generate differentiated investment ideas and present recommendations to senior investment professionals
- Analyze earnings, industry data, competitive positioning, and channel checks
- Monitor key secular themes across AI, compute, memory, foundry, analog, and semiconductor equipment
- Prepare investment memos, presentations, and market updates
- Engage with management teams, industry experts, and sell-side analysts
Qualifications
- 3–8 years of relevant experience in equity research, hedge funds, long-only investing, or investment banking with semiconductor coverage
- Strong understanding of semiconductor business models, industry dynamics, and valuation methodologies
- Advanced financial modeling and analytical skill set
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-performance environment
- Strong communication and presentation abilities
- Genuine passion for investing and technology
Preferred Background
- Prior experience covering semiconductors at a bank, asset manager, hedge fund, or research platform
- Exposure to AI infrastructure, hardware, compute, or semiconductor supply chains is highly preferred
