Join a leading U.S. bank’s equity research platform, supporting a well-established Consumer coverage team that delivers differentiated investment insights to institutional clients globally.
This role sits within a full-service banking platform, offering exposure to both deep fundamental equity research and broader capital markets dynamics, while working closely with a highly regarded Managing Director and senior research team with a strong track record in the space.
Key responsibilities:
- Build and maintain detailed three-statement financial models, forecasts, and valuation frameworks across Consumer companies
- Develop earnings models, scenario analyses, and sensitivity cases to support investment recommendations
- Conduct deep-dive fundamental research across Consumer subsectors including retail, branded goods, e-commerce, leisure, and food & beverage
- Perform primary research including channel checks, industry data analysis, and alternative data review to validate investment theses
- Write high-quality research reports including initiations, earnings previews, post-earnings reviews, and thematic pieces
- Track earnings releases, macro trends, and sector-specific developments to identify key catalysts, risks, and opportunities
- Support senior analysts with client materials and investor communications
Profile:
- 3 years of relevant experience in equity research, investment banking, or another highly analytical finance role
- Strong financial modeling, valuation, and accounting skills
- Genuine interest in public markets and Consumer sector dynamics
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to distill complex analysis into clear investment views
- High attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, and ability to operate in a fast-paced, client-facing environment
Required licenses:
- Active FINRA licenses: Series 7, Series 63, Series 86, and Series 87 (or ability to obtain immediately upon joining, where applicable)
