CNC Machinist

Pay Rate: 26 – 40 Depending on experience in the field

Position Summary:
Position Summary:
The CNC Machinist will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machinery to produce precision components. This role requires a higher level of technical expertise than an operator and includes interpreting blueprints, editing programs, and performing quality checks to ensure parts meet strict specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC machines for milling, turning, or grinding operations
• Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and job orders
• Edit and troubleshoot CNC programs (G & M code) as needed
• Select proper tooling, speeds, and feeds for each job
• Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring tools
• Maintain accurate documentation of setups, inspections, and production output
• Perform basic machine maintenance and keep workstations clean and organized
• Adhere to all safety and quality standards
• Collaborate with team members and support continuous improvement efforts
• Work with minimal supervision and take ownership of assigned jobs

Qualifications:

• 2 years of CNC machining experience required
• Strong understanding of G & M codes and CNC programming concepts
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
• Skilled in the use of precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.)
• Solid math skills, including geometry and trigonometry
• High school diploma or GED required; technical training/certification preferred
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team

Pay Details: $26.00 to $40.00 per hour
