Adecco is currently hiring a dependable and safety-focused Plant Operator to join our client’s team at the North Antelope Rochelle Mine (NARM)—the largest surface coal mine in the U.S., located in Wright, Wyoming. This role involves operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining crushing and conveying equipment while ensuring safe and efficient plant operations. NARM is a high-performance site with a strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Promote and uphold the company’s core values and “Safety as a Way of Life” culture
Operate plant systems and support equipment, including the control room, train loadout, and hydraulic/water pumps
Perform routine wash-downs, preventative maintenance (PM), and repairs on crushing and conveying equipment
Conduct safety observations and complete monthly safety interactions
Cut and weld, including passing a ½ inch plate test in both vertical and horizontal positions
Troubleshoot equipment issues and respond quickly to resolve plant operational problems
Perform other duties as assigned by the company
Work Schedule & Benefits:
Must be available for rotating shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
Overtime availability as required

Qualifications & Experience:
High school diploma or GED equivalent required
Minimum 6 months of plant or mill experience required
Welding and cutting experience, including ability to pass plate tests, required
Computer proficiency preferred (SAP experience is a plus)
Knowledge of hydraulic and water pump systems preferred
Ability to work independently and communicate effectively
Demonstrated problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Ability to train others in plant operations is a plus
Physical Requirements:
Stand or sit for up to 4 hours per shift
Climb stairs, ladders, and access elevated areas as needed
Lift and carry 10–50 lbs. frequently without mechanical assistance
Perform repetitive hand/wrist motions with strong coordination and reflexes
Work in extreme weather conditions, noise, dust, confined spaces, and varying lighting
Wear required PPE including hearing, eye, and footwear protection
Flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays
Pay Details: $30.96 per hour
