Director, Reward Partnerships
Location: United States - DC
Compensation: $180,000–$190,000 base ~$350,000 OTE equity
Overview
The company is seeking a Director of Reward Partnerships to lead the commercial architecture behind its fast-growing rewards program. This individual will develop, negotiate, and manage a high-value partner ecosystem that enhances customer value while driving strong unit economics.
This role sits at the intersection of partnerships, economics, and loyalty strategy, with direct ownership over partner mix, margin performance, and redemption structure. It is an opportunity to build a rewards ecosystem from the ground up within a scaling fintech environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead sourcing and negotiation of partnerships across airlines, hotels, travel platforms, loyalty networks, and lifestyle services.
- Structure commercial terms, including margin-sharing agreements, to optimise redemption profitability.
- Manage ongoing partner relationships and improve performance over time.
- Analyse redemption behaviour, COGS, partner economics, and program-level P&L.
- Develop category strategies that influence customer behaviour toward higher-margin outcomes.
- Collaborate with Product, Finance, and Data teams to embed partner offerings and refine the reward catalogue.
- Introduce new categories and strategic partners based on customer and business needs.
Ideal Experience
- 7–12 years in card rewards, loyalty partnerships, travel partnerships, or reward economics.
- Experience negotiating commercial agreements with airlines, hotel groups, or loyalty networks.
- Strong analytical capability — comfortable interpreting P&L, margin impacts, and customer data.
- Proven ability to build and scale a partnership ecosystem.
- Excellent commercial judgement and communication skills.
Salary : $180,000 - $350,000
