Overview
The company is seeking a General Manager for its Rewards Scheme, a senior operator who will take full ownership of the economic, strategic, and operational performance of the rewards ecosystem. This individual will act as the business owner for the program—responsible for margin optimisation, partner integration, redemption structures, and cross-functional execution that drives both customer value and sustainable economics.
This is a highly autonomous role suited for someone who thrives in a 0→1 environment and can combine commercial strategy, operational rigor, and analytical depth to scale a rewards program within a growing fintech platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the P&L for the rewards scheme, including redemption economics, COGS, breakage, and category-level profitability.
- Define and evolve the overall strategy for the reward ecosystem, including partner mix, redemption catalogue, and customer behaviour levers.
- Collaborate with Partnerships to source, negotiate, and integrate new commercial partners across travel, lifestyle, retail, and business services.
- Work with Product and Engineering to build features, integrations, and user flows that support a seamless rewards experience.
- Analyse redemption trends, partner performance, and customer behaviour to inform pricing models and platform improvements.
- Develop category strategies that steer spend towards higher-margin outcomes while protecting customer value.
- Build operating frameworks, processes, and governance models for scaling the reward scheme over time.
- Serve as the internal point person for all reward-related economics, decisions, and cross-functional coordination.
Ideal Experience
- 7–12 years in reward strategy, loyalty economics, card rewards, travel partnerships, or commercial program ownership.
- Proven ability to own a P&L or business line, ideally within fintech, payments, loyalty, or card-issuing environments.
- Strong analytical capability with experience modelling redemption behaviour, partner economics, and unit-level profitability.
- Experience working with or alongside partnerships, product, finance, and data teams.
- Demonstrated ability to execute in fast-paced, high-growth environments with high autonomy.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional leadership skills.
