Job Summary: The Facilities CAD & Project Manager will work under the supervision of the Zoll Facilities Director. He/she will design spaces for administration and manufacturing in cooperation with the various team leaders for performance optimization. He/she will He/she will guide installations of new and relocated equipment to serve the various department needs.

Essential Functions:

AUTOCAD

• Evolve and maintain a master space inventory and space allocation assignments for all manufacturing, research, and administrative space

• Maintain space plans, seating and stacking charts, as well as identify and develop new and improved sources of information and methods for validating allocations and occupancy

• Facilitate and oversee building audits to ensure employee locations, furniture layouts, and room configurations are correctly noted on floor plans

• Collaborate with staff and construction management partners to integrate new/revised architectural drawings into the space inventory

• Develop customized reports and visual aids for internal leadership and external consultants and agencies

• Facilitate preparation and execution of logistical plans for moves

• Create project proposals to meet specific space needs (small and large), and collaborate effectively to negotiate space needs, timelines, budgets, etc.

Project Management

• Work closely with users across the organization to translate new and expanded program needs into clear and consistent functional programs used by contractors to develop project cost and schedule estimates

• Investigate and coordinate potential program locations with site-specific space managers

• Perform analysis on the best-use for the available spaces

• Develop comprehensive project plans with tasks, milestones, timelines and metrics

• Oversee all aspects of projects to ensure timelines are met, including directing the work of others, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring and summarizing the progress of the projects

• Support planned projects and additional projects throughout the year as needed.

Required/Preferred Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred

• Proficiency in AutoCAD 2020 required

• Minimum 3 years of CAD drafting/workspace planning experience in a multi-story building

• Ability to meet deadlines and work accurately with minimal error.

• Proficiency with Outlook, and MS Office Suites including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

Other Duties:

• Should be able to climb a ladder, reach, bend, and lift loads up to 50 lbs. independently, more with assistance.

• Valid driver’s license.

• Travel between ZOLL sites (Chelmsford to Billerica)

• Incumbent will be required to carry a cell phone to support building operations.

• Positive attitude and even temperament.

• Excellent verbal and written skills including the ability to communicate intelligently and effectively with vendors, architects, engineers, and contractors performing work in our buildings
