Zentech Consulting is Hiring a Payroll and Benefits Manager Near Tampa, FL

Role Overview:
This role is integral to the HR team, focusing on managing and administering payroll, benefits, and HRIS for employees across the U.S. The successful candidate will oversee multi-state payroll processing, ensure compliance with regulations, manage benefits programs, and maintain HRIS system integrity.

Responsibilities:

  • Payroll Management: Oversee multi-state payroll processing, including record maintenance, garnishments, and tax compliance. Serve as the primary point of contact for payroll policies and issues.
  • Benefits Administration: Administer company-sponsored benefits programs, ensuring accurate enrollment, changes, and terminations. Oversee benefit plan setups, calculations, and invoice processing.
  • HRIS Maintenance: Manage the HRIS system, focusing on continuous improvement and cross-functional alignment with business objectives.
  • Compliance and Reporting: Ensure adherence to state and federal regulations, manage employment verifications, and support workers’ compensation audits.
  • Collaboration and Improvement: Work closely with accounting, operations, and HR to ensure data integrity and support audits. Initiate projects to enhance payroll and HRIS processes.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of multi-state payroll and tax experience.
  • Skills: Knowledge of state and federal payroll and benefits regulations, HRIS systems (UKG preferred), and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Abilities: Problem-solving, confidentiality, multi-tasking, and teamwork. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage priorities effectively.

Other Requirements:

  • Must pass a seven-year criminal background check and company drug screening.
