POSITION SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Director of Behavioral Health, the Behavioral Health Manager is a key member of the therapeutic team. They will be responsible for providing necessary, culturally sensitive clinical interventions, evaluations, and care for adolescents. This position is a member of a multidisciplinary leadership team, working closely with the therapy, medical, milieu, psychiatric and psychology staff. Will ensure quality services are provided in compliance with performance specifications and regulating entities. The Behavioral Health Manager provides services in keeping with best practices, evidence-based knowledge, and the ethics of their educational discipline.

Essential Duties

  • Ensures the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs in a residential based setting and coordinates closely with the Clinical Director, Program Director, Director of Nursing, and multidisciplinary team.
  • Maintains and ensures behavioral health technician staff perform an acceptable standard level of care in compliance with standards, guidelines, and regulations.
  • Works in partnership with therapy, medical, milieu, and psychiatric staff to train and mentor behavioral health techs to enhance the patient's and their family's experience and to promote recovery and safety.
  • Ensures timely and accurate documentation into electronic health record and ensures high quality
  • Oversees BHT's facilitating group sessions utilizing evidenced based curriculum and ensures BHT's provide care with a focus on delivering evidence-based treatment modalities.
  • Collaborates and coordinates with the patient, caregivers, family, physicians, program management and all other disciplines of the behavioral health providers or in the community to provide the best care possible.
  • Provides support, oversight and assistance in coordinating program services and promotes a culture of safety, recovery, support, and respect for patients and for staff.
  • Responsible for scheduling and staffing for all the behavioral health techs and ensures there is necessary coverage for shifts according to census guidelines. Will provide supervision and performance management to the BHT staff.
  • Supports and/or attends outreach events as appropriate to highlight services at Montare Behavioral Health, bring clients to the program and encourage referrals.
  • Attend weekly team meetings, clinical consultation and administrative meetings as
  • Maintains and manages patient contact daily/weekly schedules and documents
  • Applies critical thinking, problem solving and time management skills as required for job
  • Works independently and maintains effective communication with immediate clinical manager and team members.
  • Demonstrates exceptional customer service, in every level of service provided by placing the patient
  • Completes all assigned training in a timely manner and ensures completion compliance requirements are met.

Qualification Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in the behavioral health field including psychology, counseling, social work, or related field.
  • 2 years of full-time behavioral health
  • Must have strong written and oral communication skills and be highly organized and meticulous.
  • Ability and knowledge working with culturally diverse populations is particularly important.
  • Must have Level I AZ DPS Fingerprint Clearance Card and be able to pass required clearances and Criminal Background checks.
  • Must be 21 years of age with a valid Arizona driver's license, reliable transportation, and a favorable driving record.
  • The ideal candidate is dependable, discreet, flexible, honest, engaging and embodies a positive
  • First Aid/CPR certification, CPI certification a plus, if not will receive CPI
  • Experience with EHR software and MS
  • Previous experience working with adolescents.
Preferred
  • Inpatient or residential experience is a
  • Experience in trauma-informed care, group facilitation, Post Traumatic Stress, Co-Occurring disorders is a plus.
Language Skills
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret human service periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • The ability to write reports and communicate with patient family and external case managers during Child and Family Team meetings is important.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid
Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Electronic Health Records and MS Office software and use of the internet. Must be able to see and read a computer monitor or notebook screen.
