A Dream Called Hope is a Behavioral Health Residential Facility (BHRF) licensed by the Arizona Department of Health Services. Position Overview:
As a Behavioral Health Tech/Paraprofessional (BHT/BHPP) at A Dream Called Hope, you will play a vital role in supporting young men's recovery and personal growth. We seek individuals passionate about working with youth, possess exceptional patience, and have equal opportunities to maintain a firm but caring approach. Your primary responsibilities will include deescalating situations, facilitating therapeutic interventions, and providing guidance and mentorship to our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
•Support and Guidance: Provide emotional support and guidance to residents as they work towards their treatment goals.
•De-escalation: Skillfully deescalate challenging situations by applying proven techniques and maintaining a calm and composed demeanor.
•Assessment: Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of residents' mental health and behavior to inform treatment plans.
•Collaboration: Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
•Crisis Management: Assist in crisis intervention and ensure the safety and well-being of residents during critical incidents.
•Documentation: Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of resident progress and incidents.
•Role Model: Serve as a positive role model for residents, demonstrating appropriate behaviors and interpersonal skills.
•Education: Provide psychoeducation to residents about coping strategies, self-care, and life skills. Such as cooking, money management, laundry, and other skills that can benefit them in the real world setting.

What We Offer:
Compensation: Based on experience and education starting range 15-16.50 with a review of potential compensation change every 3 months.
