Zego Career Center is Hiring a Product Manager Near Chicago, IL

About the role: 
The Product Manager (PM) has overall accountability for a product line. The PM is responsible for maximizing product position in the marketplace, increasing the profitability of existing product features, and introducing new product features to the product line. The PM defines product release requirements and works with Product Owners (POs) to decompose requirements into a prioritized product backlog. The PM works with Product, Marketing, Sales, Client Success, and other business units as necessary to define and execute on the product Go-To-Market strategy. The Product Manager is the evangelist for the product, owning and measuring product success through active monitoring of KPIs such as feature adoption, performance, and support requests.

What you’ll do here: 

  • Collaborates with Product Leadership on the definition of the Product Vision, Strategy and Roadmap.
  • Engages with clients, partners, and stakeholders (i.e. Client Summits, NIHITO visits, Industry Events) to identify strategic initiatives and specify market requirements for current and future product features.
  • Understands and leverages data gathering mechanisms that influence the product vision, including market/client surveys, win/loss data, and competitive intelligence information.
  • Able to articulate and quantify business value of product initiatives with data-driven decisions.
  • Partners with UX, Product, and Engineering to distill large concepts into small, deliverable projects with minimal guidance from leadership.
  • Manages the entire Product Management Lifecycle (PML) from strategic planning to tactical activities.
  • Demonstrates ability to “dive deep” and provide mentorship to POs when necessary to ensure quality user stories, acceptance criteria, and GTM materials (i.e. external copy, release notes, training).
  • Actively participates in Agile/Scrum ceremonies (Grooming, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, etc.).
  • Accountable for product release notes, training, and GTM activities to ensure successful product launch.
  • Continually learns and deepens knowledge of our system, product features, and user experiences.
  • Influences a positive, united team culture to achieve success within the Product and Engineering team.
