We are looking for an organized, determined and motivated candidate to join our team as the Maintenance Manager.

JOB SUMMARY

The Maintenance Manager oversees the day-to-day maintenance and repair operations of the organization's facilities, equipment, and machinery through planning, coordinating, and directing all maintenance activities.

• Performs routine and preventive HVAC/R and MEP maintenance services for all systems and equipment.
• Performs HVAC/R and MEP repair work as needed as knowledge and experience permits.
• Orders and purchases tools, equipment, and supplies; ensures proper equipment and supplies are available
• Completes and submits needed paperwork in a timely manner as required.
• Performs other work needed as knowledge and experience permits.
• Assists in set up of rooms in accordance with the daily room schedules, and in ensuring cleanliness of buildings.
• Assisting the Director of Facilities developing relationships with outside contractors and coordinate efforts as needed.
• In assistance with the Director of Facilities developing and implementing maintenance programs for all YWCA buildings and shelters
• Ensures the proper disposal of hazardous and controlled wastes in compliance with regulations and guidelines; works directly with outside agencies such as OSHA, MIOSHA, and local and state health departments as required Evaluates the need for and arranges physical plant training sessions (bloodborne pathogens, OSHA, MSDS, and other job-related training) both in-house and off campus
• Perform or supervise repair work needed as knowledge, experience and time permits. Develop relationships with outside contractors, as necessary.
• Other duties as needed may be assigned

Clerical/General Administrative

Responds to routine emails, phone calls, etc., maintains records, and submits needed paperwork in timely manner.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Experience

• High school diploma or GED required. HVAC/R Certification
• 10 years working experience with institutional building, grounds, HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing maintenance, carpentry, masonry, use of hand-power and non-power tools and related safety practices.
• Great mechanical aptitude and ability, strong comprehension of building and technical manuals, strong ability to read complex blueprints, follow verbal instructions and the ability to work well with others.

Licenses/Credentials/Certifications

• Required Universal EPA certification.
• 10 years’ experience in facilities HVAC maintenance and/or commercial/industrial construction required.
• Applicant must have strong background in refrigeration systems troubleshooting and repairs required
• Valid drivers license and insurance

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Working Hours/Environment

• On call Rotation.
• Weekend availability as Needed.
• Work schedule is Monday-Friday, 37.5 hours per week. (may require additional hours periodically, including weekends and evenings)
• Salary Range: $55,000-$65,000/yr

Travel
