Yuko Family Medicine is Hiring a Medical Assistant (certified) Near Brookline, MA

We are hiring for an early April start date!

Yuko Family Medicine is a solo-physician private family medicine practice delivering a holistic blend of Eastern and Western medicine to thousands of pediatric and adult patients in Greater Boston. We believe that by providing proactive and personalized care, focusing on patient education and knowledge, and developing understanding and trust with each patient, we can play a pivotal part in enhancing their health and well-being.

Summary

  • Working under the supervision of a physician, the applicant is a certified medical assistant or medical assistant with experience. Experience within a primary care setting is preferred.
  • Working within a collaborative environment, maintains a patient-centered approach to care.
  • Obtains detailed and accurate medical history.
  • Obtains vitals for patients, including blood pressure, height, weight, pulse / oxygen saturation, body temperature, etc.
  • Performs EKGs, vision spot screenings, etc.
  • Supports the physician during procedures.
  • Is familiar with children and adult vaccination schedule.
  • Supports the physician with communication / education of patients.
  • Processes orders and labs as necessary.

Education and Certification

  • Possesses/eligible for certification as a medical assistant and 2 years of experience.
  • Graduate of a 4 year bachelor’s degree program.

Experience

  • At least two years of experience with strong preference for experience as a medical assistant within a primary care setting.
  • Must be able to give vaccines to all ages and is familiar with pediatric vaccination schedules.
