To ensure the quality and efficiency of inpatient/outpatient coding that includes qualitative coding, abstracting, data analysis, quality control and case mix monitoring. Performs coding audits for accurate code assignments. Reviews other records for coding accuracy as necessary. Leads coding integrity-related projects including coding validation, data analysis, productivity monitoring, performance reporting and coding education.

Education: Must be ICD-10 Trained.Knowledge of Medical Terminology, DSM-5 and abstracting systems.

Bachelors Degree Preferred

Succesful Completion of onsight coding test

Licensure: CCS;CCA or other AHIMA Certifications

Experience: 1-3 year preferred of previous medical record and coding department experience
