Join a talented team, learn from the best! Yonkers Contracting has an immediate opening for a Field Engineer with 1-3 years of experience for a $300 million project heavy civil project in Brooklyn.

Essential Duties include:

Overall Field and Office responsibilities include working closely with the superintendent, assisting the project team in planning, scheduling, coordinating, and implementing assigned duties.

• Oversee subcontractors and other field activities

• Assist with contract compliance, budget, schedule, tracking qualities and job costing

• Assist in meeting changing job requirements by preparing change orders and RFI's

• Analyze shop drawings, as-builts, and other contract required documents to ensure completeness and accuracy and submit to the owner with required documentation

• Assist with document control procedures

• Coordinate deliveries of material and equipment to the jobsite

• Promote safety - assist with the implementation of all applicable safety programs, policies, and procedures

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• B.S. in Civil Engineering preferred

• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to read and understand drawings

• Ability to take field measurements for as-builts

• Proficiency in Excel and Word and comfortable learning new systems

• Attention to detail

• Excellent problem solving and communication skills

• Prepare clear and concise reports

• Must meet requirements to work in the US (form l9)

• Possess a valid driver's license

Salary Range: $85K to $110K based on experience, education and training.

• Work in varying weather and temperatures

• Sit and/or stand for extended periods

• Manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination needed to use a variety of office equipment such as computer, telephones, calculators, copiers, and drafting equipment

• Occasionally walk on uneven terrain

• May be required to work more than 40 hours a week and/or work irregular hours
