The Grand Rapids Southeast Promise Neighborhood (GRSEPN) Lead Teacher position is a grant funded, three-year role and focuses on 3-year-old preschool programming.

The YMCA of Great Grand Rapids utilizes a Membership By Design framework, which is a member involvement and community building model for YMCAs across the country. All staff members—front-line, management, full- and part-time—and volunteers have a role to play in member engagement. These responsibilities can be broken into six steps:
POSITION SUMMARY:
The GRSEPN Lead Teacher is responsible for the planning, developing, and implementation of classroom activities for3-year-old preschool programs. This position requires on site, face-to-face leadership. Center hours vary by location, but requires full-time (40 hours/week), flexible scheduling between 6 AM and 6 PM, Monday through Friday.
PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES
Performs any other functions necessary for the smooth and efficient operation of the YMCA of Greater Grand Rapids
COMPENSATION
$15.95 - $19.94 ; Full-Time; Non-Exempt (40 hours/week)

QUALIFICATIONS
Associate'sdegree in Early Childhood Education, Preschool CDA REQUIRED ; Bachelor's Degree (BA) preferred; six months to one year childcare related experience; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Ability to interact with people of all ethnic backgrounds, ages, and lifestyles. Ability and desire to work with infants, toddlers, preschool and school age children. Working knowledge of computers and experience with a variety of software applications. YMCA experience preferred.
