Health Care Aide for the Preschool Program Grandville Education Center 6:30 a.m.- 8:30 a.m. Position Available: 2023-2024 School Year
JOB GOAL:
To provide direct care and support to student(s) identified as having complex health needs within the school setting under the direction of the district nurse and health services program.
REQUIREMENTS:
Health/Medical field experience preferred
Current CPR/AED/First-Aid Certification or willingness to become certified within 60 days of hire
Comply with all district policies and procedures
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:
Perform and manage the medical/health needs directly to students according to their Individualized Health Care Plan.
Works collaboratively with district nurses, families, and other educational staff in regards to student’s health needs.
Consult and communicate with district nurses in determining appropriate care for students.
Participates in training sessions to update necessary skills. Training include, but not limited to: bloodborne pathogens, medication administration, CPR/First Aid.
Provide effective and clear communication
Maintain clear and accurate documentation
Maintains and protects confidentiality and privacy following HIPAA and FERPA protocols.
