Position Summary

At Yes Energy, the Finance & Accounting team plays a crucial role within an organization, serving several key functions that contribute to its overall financial health, regulatory compliance, and strategic decision-making. The A/P Manager will be responsible for managing our company's entire accounts payable process. This role involves overseeing the daily management of accounts payable transactions, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of invoice processing, payments, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, with excellent leadership skills and the ability to optimize processes for efficiency and effectiveness.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain systems, procedures, and policies to ensure adherence to company guidelines.
  • Manage timely and accurate processing of invoices, purchase orders, expense reports, credit memos, and payment transactions.
  • Maintain accurate and complete vendor records and ensure proper documentation and approval for all accounts payable transactions.
  • Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up-to-date and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues.
  • Conduct monthly closings of accounts payable transactions and prepare analysis of accounts.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures in processing accounts payable transactions.
  • Coordinate with other departments and suppliers regarding accounts payable matters.
  • Assist in financial audits by providing information and answers to auditors.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting or finance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, related field, or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Manager, Supervisor, or related role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with accounting software and systems; familiarity with NetSuite, ExpensePath & Divvy (a plus)
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • International accounts payable experience is a plus

Key skills and competencies that will be developed while in the role:

  • A key contributor to continued automation of AP and related payment processing.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes and procedures.

  • M&A Integration Experience including international entities.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer strongly competitive salaries and real bonuses that are achievable and that you can impact. Base Compensation Range: $85,000 - $105,000

In accordance with Colorado law, the range provided is Yes Energy’s reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on non-discriminatory factors such as location, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities.
