Mosaic Biosciences is Hiring an Accounts Payable & Procurement Specialist Near Boulder, CO

The Accounts Payable & Procurement Specialist plays a pivotal role in facilitating seamless procurement processes and efficient inventory management within the organization. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with vendors, internal stakeholders, and various departments. Responsibilities: Accounts Payable:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for accounts payable activities and invoices.
  • Process purchase orders and invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Track orders and receipts to ensure timely payments and accurate financial records.
  • Coordinate with relevant parties for vendor onboarding and ACH verification and ensure confirmation of payments.
Procurement:
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure timely and competitive pricing.
  • Obtain quotes and negotiate annual deals to optimize procurement costs.
  • Coordinate order placement and delivery schedules to meet operational needs.
  • Estimate usage and quantities of materials to facilitate proactive procurement strategies.
  • Facilitate vendor onboarding processes to streamline procurement operations.
  • Act as procurement software point-person to help update settings and create budgets and reports.
Inventory Coordination/Internal Tracking:
  • Act as a subject matter expert on consumables, identifying tipping points and determining what items to track.
  • Determine relevant items and manage stock and use of internal sale items.
  • Distinguish between regular consumables and general functional group stock to optimize inventory levels.
  • Establish and maintain inventory tracking systems to ensure efficient inventory management.
  • Manage and update pricing for sale items.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field.
  • Experience in accounts payable, procurement, or inventory management roles, preferably in a bioscience or related industry.
  • Understanding of procurement processes, inventory control principles, and supply chain management best practices.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience with procurement software systems (e.g., ProcureDesk).
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of bioscience industry practices is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
This is a full-time position on site in Boulder, CO.
Compensation Range: $50,000- $70,000
