What you’ll be doing

As a Finance Operations Manager, you will provide finance, accounting, and logistical support to internal groups, external partners, and suppliers. This will include leading the full cycle finance and accounting processes, which include budget tracking, year-end, month-end close, reconciliations, financial statements, AR, AP, costing/pricing, inventory, expenses and contractors. You also will communicate with decision-makers and key stakeholders regarding monthly financials. This may include reporting to C-Level executives.

Job Responsibilities

• Create and track budgets for company projects and approve purchase requests by communicating with company executives.
• Develop quarterly financial reports for board of directors by communicating with Virewirx’s external accountant.
• Send purchase orders to vendors and manage lead times to ensure materials are received in a timely manner.
• Manage the full accounts payable cycle (3-way match) and generate end of month report to ensure vendors are paid on time.
• Oversee the inventory management process by recording check in/check out transactions and decipher materials by tax exempt status.
• Coordinate and serve as point of contact for all large shipments to and from Virewirx office and company demonstrations.
• Meet with marketing company to generate materials for company trade shows, update the website, and create videos.

What you will bring to XCOM

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a closely related field
• 1-3 years of post-graduate professional experience in a start-up Hi-Tech Engineering or manufacturing business
• Recent and direct experience using QuickBooks and MS Excel (Pivot Tables, V-Lookups, Data Analysis)
• Experience developing budgets, business plans, and reporting
• Dedicated, results-oriented individual who excels at prioritizing projects, completing multiple tasks simultaneously and eager to grow in accounting/finance
• Project management skills and initiative to streamline processes and create operational efficiencies
• Ability to work in a small dynamic business

It’s a bonus if you have:

• Experience automating standard finance and accounting procedures
• Experience with shipping and receiving, logistics, and/or marketing
