Be at the forefront of geospatial intelligence analysis by bridging the gap between data streams and meaningful knowledge, transforming raw sensor data into actionable insights.
Combine your technical expertise, algorithmic creativity, and domain-specific knowledge as a Remote Sensing Software Developer, where you will serve as a critical member of the team ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and effectiveness of software systems within the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency. As the Remote Sensing Software Developer, you are tasked with the development, implementation, and maintenance of software quality standards, processes, and procedures. You will utilize your knowledge of remote sensing methodologies to collaborate with cross-functional teams to verify and validate software, review design specifications, and ensure compliance with contractual and process requirements. You’ll design and automate correlation algorithms that harmonize signatures from OPIR sensors across both temporal and spatial dimensions, discerning nuances and devising efficient ways to correlate it. You will implement software development and maintenance processes and methods, and conduct software inspections, testing, verification, and validation to identify and address any quality issues to ensure reliability standards. From Python scripts to C modules, you’ll craft solutions that extract critical intelligence to provide accurate, comprehensive models for effective OPIR signature analysis. These enhancements will allow analysts to uncover hidden threats, track changes in terrain, identify critical features, and detect and track ballistic/maneuverable objects. You’ll be the architect of intelligence, optimizing analysis techniques, safeguarding national security, and advancing our perception of the Earth, contributing to the agency’s mission of providing accurate and timely intelligence for the safety of those abroad and at home.
