Position Summary

Performs engineering and estimating duties for Amazon opportunities as assigned by the Aftermarket Application Engineering Manager. Responsible for engineering, cost estimations, customer relationship management, and code compliance. Profitably manages the system retrofit, upgrade, and aftermarket (parts, service, support, warranty) sales activities for the Amazon account.

Responsibilities
    Works with Amazon team to define the scope of work required for a system upgrade or enhancement.
  • Designs systems or structures for industrial material handling projects
  • Works with clients to specify peripheral equipment such as workstations, carton erectors, case sealers, and other material handling equipment
  • Evaluates alternative technologies
  • Develops vendor and installer RFQ packages; evaluates vendor and installer quotes for accuracy, thoroughness and costing
  • Estimates project costs, including working with other Wynright groups
  • Works with Proposal Team and/or Sales Team to develop proposal content
  • Supports Sales, including visiting job sites for customer meetings and surveys
  • Creates plans and drawings, including drawings in AutoCAD 3D
  • Works with Project Management team to develop estimated project schedules, implementation plans, and review internal resource availability
  • Engineers jobs, including ordering equipment, assisting with permit package development, and assisting Purchasing with contracting for installation
  • Develops and implements sales strategies necessary to profitably outsell the competition
  • Leads the sales process with the Amazon account to profitably meet or exceed sales goals
  • Travel up to 20%
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, Industrial Engineering or related technical field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 4 years of engineering experience
