Support assigned departments by promoting, communicating and implementing human resources strategies and initiatives. Build and maintain influential relationships by being a strategic partner with management. Provide legal advice, coordinate performance management, and resolve employee relations issues. Act as experts on human resources policies and procedures such as Benefits, compensation, and employee development
• Work with HR team to assist with the planning communicating and tracking of site and company – wide initiatives throughout the year.• Act as subject Matter expert in one or more HR functional area’s• Participate in developing, enhancing and day-to-day administration, communication and implementation of HR policies and programs.• Utilize HR metrics to monitor performance and identify actionable trends, including retention, turnover, and employee engagement.• Participate in designated and HR department meetings by recommending new approaches and practices and procedures for continual process improvement.• Support in training initiatives including identify training gaps, conducting in person training as needed, and may participate in creating training content.• Continually build relationships with designated departments and managers & supervisors• Partner with talent acquisition team on recruiting efforts• Partner & support HRBP’s initiatives in the absence of peers and/or leadership• Under the direction of the Director, is responsible for employee relations at the site, including independently conducting & closing effective, thorough & objective investigations as needed & when appropriate.• Provide day to day performance management guidance to managers & supervisors, as well as assist in administering in Performance Review Program• Work closely with management & employees to improve relationships, build morale, increase productivity & increase retention• Participate, enhance, & revise new hire orientation• Contributes to the overall operations and to the achievement of departmental goals• Other duties as assigned• May be required to assist in other departments
Experience/Education:
• Bachelors’ degree preferred or equivalent experience• Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR/relevant experience required
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:• Knowledge of Federal, state and local laws pertaining to personnel administration and various compensation and benefit plans and practices• Thorough understanding of Good Laboratory Practices and Good Manufacturing Practices• Demonstrated success in independently handling employee relations, and performance management• Knowledge of HRIS systems• Proficient and able to prepare in Microsoft Office (Power Point, Excel, Word, Outlook,etc)
