Workrise is looking for a passionate Financial Systems Project Manager who will function as the interface and main point of contact between the Accounting and Finance team and the IT and Data departments. The role’s objective is to ensure successful implementation and ongoing support projects across all our financial systems. Our ideal candidate for this role will be someone who loves systems, is a team player who communicates well across multiple teams, has the experience and desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic high-growth environment, with a strong background in accounting and finance or financial reporting, and is an expert in financial systems implementations. You should have extensive background working with NetSuite, ideally with implementing functionality (defining business requirement, system process design, project management, interfacing with technical/IT folks), be extremely detail oriented and organized in documenting processes and systems, and be able to drive and facilitate process improvements while ensuring stability and compliance of financials with GAAP standards.

What you’ll be doing:

• Own all accounting implication of NetSuite configurations, modules, customizations, workflows, scripts, and testing
• Collaborate with finance/accounting and engineering teams to improve system integrations between core applications
• Be the interface to translate between and connect finance & accounting teams with IT & data engineering
• Partner closely with Product and Engineering to ensure internally developed systems are built with consideration of financial statement implications
• Work cross functionally to modify or create new workflows to drive continuous improvement and automation
• Update and maintains system architectural diagrams and documentation for all financial systems
• Establish and document protocols, procedures, and approvals 
• Collaborate effectively with IT and Operations system administrators 
• Review all requested changes to financial systems to ensure adherence to GAAP
• Assist in setting and updating accounting policies and procedures for all financial system in accordance with GAAP
• Understand and communicate the impact of financial system changes and coordinate the required actions across the appropriate departments

What you should have:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or IT / systems degree
• 5 years general experience with Finance Systems, including evaluation, implementation, enhancing, etc.
• 3 years of in-depth accounting experience
• Functional understanding of finance and business processes P2P, Q2C and reporting
• 3 years NetSuite implementation and/or administration experience 
• Financial ecosystems experience including aspects of system rules, workflows, formulas, dev and staging environments, and standard and custom objects
• Experience working with a multi-entity company
• Demonstrated project management abilities and experience in implementation of software solutions
• Previous exposure to SOX compliance and process implications
• Excellent communication skills; Able to effectively present complex solutions to technical and non-technical staff at all levels of the organization
• Excellent organizational, time management and prioritization skills.
