Role Summary:

Wolfe is growing and we are looking for Senior Java Developer. The Senior Java Developer is responsible for the development, support, and evolution of our credit card linking API platform-as-a-service.

Responsibilities:

Development

1. Develop secure & scalable API web services, data feeds, and events/webhooks.
2. Deploy services, and components to AWS ECS containers via CI/CD pipelines.
3. Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, and functional requirements are met.

Support

1. Monitor, and respond to notifications, and alerts.
2. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve issues identified in notifications, alerts, and support request tickets.

Evolution

1. Develop proof-of-concept (PoCs), and technology experiments as needed.
2. Research, and recommend emerging technology to improve systems, and features.

Teamwork & Collaboration

1. Work closely with product teams to define technical specifications.
2. Work with other technology teams to collaborate on cloud services, security configuration, dev ops optimization, and container orchestration used by the platform.
3. Participate in story planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives, and UAT demos as appropriate.
4. Work closely with QA team to formulate test cases, execute test plans, and create test data as needed.

Required Skills and Experience:

1. 5-10 years of professional experience developing cloud-based API web services using Spring/Java/MVC.
2. Professional experience creating, and deploying containers in AWS.
3. Experience operating in an agile environment (Kanban or Scrum).
4. Experience developing within CI/CD pipelines (especially using Terraform & Bitbucket).

Desirable Skills and Experience:

1. Professional experience developing web services using Symfony & PHP highly desirable.
2. Professional development experience in a PCI certified environment.
3. Professional experience developing microservices.
4. Professional experience developing credit card payment processing solutions.
5. Professional experience building front-end web apps using JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Next.js, React, Vue, etc.).
6. Professional experience using ETL frameworks, and tools such as AWS ETL, AWS Glue, etc.
7. Proficiency with AWS Services such as S3, ECS, RDS, etc.
8. Professional experience developing Python solutions.
9. Desire to learn, and adapt to new technology (including AI/ML).
