Primary Purpose of the Position
Teach and facilitate face-to-face clinical and classroom instruction related to the application of nursing theories, principles, and skill competencies. Coach and mentor students during clinical experience and beyond.

Minimum Experience/Education
  • Master of Science in Nursing Education. Under special circumstances, consideration may be given to persons with a baccalaureate degree with preparation in teaching and learning principles in adult education as defined by the Board of Nursing (such as Clinical Teaching in Associate Certification and/or in the process of completing CTA certification).
  • A minimum of two (calendar) years’ full-time employment or equivalent in clinical nursing practice as a registered nurse verified with the Board of Nursing.
  • Work experience and /or teaching experience in Adult/Mental/Child or Maternity Health.
  • Current unrestricted RN License to practice in the State of North Carolina.
